Description
Need to clean the calcium deposits on the internal turbo salt cell plates? You are checking the right product! AR-PRO offers the perfect cleaning stand replacement compatible with all Hayward salt chlorinator turbo cells made of premium, heavy duty plastic.
Generally speaking, you need to inspect your turbo cell about every 3 months of operation or every 500 hours, depending on several factors such as calcium level and pH of your pool water.
How to Clean Your Chlorinator Turbo Cell:
1) Turn off the power and ensure the pump is not running.
2) Remove the turbo cell and if you don’t see any visible flaky deposits, reinstall the cell.
3) If deposits are seen, flush the scales off with a high pressure hose.
4) Ensure you have a salt cell cleaner on hand, such as our Salt Cell Saver linked below: https://www.pondsforpeoplepools.com/products/2499
If not, create a solution of 4:1 muriatic acid and water in a clean plastic bucket. Always add acid to water, NEVER water to acid.
5) Fasten the turbo cell to our cleaning stand with cord side down. Fill it with the saver and let it soak for 15 minutes. Repeat the process until clean.
6) Reinstall the turbo cell, then press the diagnostic button next to the display for 3 seconds to stop the flashing inspect cell LED and reset the timer for the next 500 operational hours.
